Joongoo Jeon, a graduate of the Advanced Thermal Hydraulics Engineering for Nuclear Applications (ATHENA) laboratory (advisor: Prof. Sung Joong Kim) in the Department of Nuclear Engineering, was appointed to the faculty of POSTECH in 2025.

Earlier, in 2024, fellow ATHENA alumnus Taeseok Kim was appointed to the faculty of Jeju National University.
